  3. Yes, its shocking that Xi didn't see, or denied the evil nature of communism. So many of his contemporaries, who were subjected to the same suffering, were honest enough to admit it was all a horrible mistake. Jung Chang (Wild Swans) had a similar experience to Xi and writes about this period from her first person perspective. Makes you wonder if Xi is bipolar, or worse, so pathologically power hungry, he could sell his soul.
