In the long run China will be the biggest loser as Russia (at the behest of Germany, UK, USA and all other allies) squeezes it out of the eventual peace process and it ends up completely isolated and decoupled from the world at large. The CCP will thereby reach their ultimate goal of enslaving, impoverishing and demoralizing the Chinese people like the Kims have done in North Korea.

  38. Deindustrialization is now a moot point. It won't happen in Russia and neither does it need to. Wars such as that in Ukraine, are uncommon enough so political and defense alignments seemed weak and defunct. Russia was lulled into a false sense of confidence because the west was too complacent about emphasizing its natural alignments and would not back up our words with actions. We can't let China make this mistake.

I'm guessing, because who really knows, but judging from my experiences in China and knowledge of its history, I would say that most of the senior CCP figures know there is no future for the current political system. They are at war with their own people who yearn for more freedoms and now they are at war with the world. They also have a looming economic crisis ahead. The CCP are making the mistakes of both the Japanese in the 1930 and the Soviets post WWII. Its unsustainable and they know it. It is possible there will be a massive blood letting as people take revenge on the communists, especially the provincial CCP leaders who have a poor reputation among the locals. A transition to democracy may start off calmly but I have a feeling it will degenerate as a flood of anger erupts. I fear the worst for China.
