Remember, it was developed in the mid 19th century by a European Jew (living in Germany and England) for European conditions where there existed a functioning industrial economy. As far as I know, Marx never went to China. When his ideas were implemented by Mao Zedong, in 1949 -1950 ??, China had not even developed a functioning modern agricultural economy, let alone an industrial one. It was a total mismatch of foreign philosophy and Eastern culture. This led to a giant disaster, where around 70 million people died, (approximately 40 million from starvation and 30 million died from incarceration and forced exile because they knew it was a fucked up idea) One reason so many people starved was because the peasants, encouraged by the local communists, murdered all the rural landowners and branded them traitors etc etc. This totally screwed up agricultural production. You might know this. School? Do you see any parallels with this awful history today in China? The CCP is killing people it disagrees with. It is still implementing mismatched policies which have enslaved Chinese workers and created artificial divisions within the society. It is incarcerating people who criticise it. Don't get me wrong, some have got rich, but only at the expense of the poor. So... here's the irony. Marx developed his ideas in his book Das Kapital, as a means to motivate the redistribution of capital wealth, accumulated by the European industrialists, to the poorer working classes. It didn't work. It obviously hasn't worked in China either. The solution is actually very simple. Allow people to chose their system of government where problems like unequal distribution of wealth can be openly discussed. Those who abuse the system are answerable to the law, not some arbitrary CCP wanker. They are also shamed through consensus, not murdered, imprisoned or disappeared as they currently are in China. You must surely see the bitter irony when people such as yourself can post pro CCP comments on Youtube when the average Chinese person's access to this platform is wholly restricted.. (in China) Furthermore, if I wanted to post something on ANY Chinese social media platform critical of the CCP or Communism or Xi Jinping, or even Winnie The Pooh, it wouldn't last long. Youtube and all other social media in democratic countries, allows anyone to effectively, say whatever they like, insofar as it doesn't contravene the rules about violence etc. Some social media don't even care about this at all. There is NO censorship on political thought whatsoever. In respect to your observations about democracy, there is no prize for slicing and dicing the shortcomings of democracy in attempt to reveal a serious flaw in its foundations. Democratic practices require compromises and civility. Sir Winston Churchill once remarked that "democracy seems to be the worst system in the world ... until you compare it to all the others" You may be amused and interested to know that democracy always struggles and often fails in countries where the average I Q is below 90. China has 105 ! I'm happy to share with you why it is so important that China does not continue being closed off to modern ideas, but that's for next time.

Fine, its a big issue and I expect the CCP will eventually force an invasion and then wreck its culture, traditions and freedoms just as it has done to China itself, and most recently, Hong Kong. It is tedious to have to explain Chinese history to a Chinese person but in respect to the KMT, it is worth remembering that it was they who did the majority of the fighting and dying against the Japanese when they invaded China in 1937 (known as the Sino-Japanese war). Prior to this, the Japanese occupied Manchuria where they had set up a puppet government. Despite the Japanese occupation of Manchuria and tensions with Japan intensifying, Chiang Kai-Shek advocated that the KMT should defeat the communists before defeating the Japanese. This was a serious political mistake. As you probably know, he was forced by his own party to form a temporary alliance with Mao in order to defeat the Japanese first. In the end, they were defeated by the allies, but only after two of their cities were incinerated with nukes. Chiang also made the mistake of alienated the peasants and favoured the land owners. Compare this what Mao did, which is exactly the opposite, hence his wider support and eventual victory. This was of course all in vane. After the Communists succeeding in defeating the KMT, Mao initiated the deaths of MILLIONS of peasants, (and land owners), thus began a series of disasters spanning two generations of the population. So sad, because it could have been avoided if the KMT had prevailed. And you wonder why the world hates communists...

Its important that a commonly agreed upon historical account of the biggest disaster to ever befall China, is known, particularly by Chinese people. I have no "dog in this fight". It is simply history to me, however it is deeply disturbing, even after 50 years, to find people like you who believe it is necessary to twist the truth and trample on the memories of the dead for political reasons. Its sickening. If you are a compulsive liar, and indeed can't help yourself, stick with things like Huawei or the (dire) state of the Chinese economy. Now, if you want to know the truth about what really happened, read on. It began in 1959 when rural farms in China were collectivised during a time when most of the landowners were disenfranchised, murdered or "reassigned" to other duties. Some were publicly humiliated and then executed at the behest overly zealous Maoists. In the first year after collectivisation, the communists levied taxes on production and instituted compulsory purchase agreements to fulfil a separate deal it had with the Soviet Union. The second year of the famine was blessed with good weather and the grain harvest was better than the previous year, although way down compared to previous years because the meagre amount of farm machinery, previously available, had been sold or stolen. .... That's what happens when you collectivise property. Also, the skills required to successfully grow crops had vanished, along with the land owners. The communists continued to confiscate around 30% of the harvest and ship it the Soviet Union or weirdly, store as a insurance against famine - despite a famine already underway. The communists believed they were leaving enough grain for the peasants, but they were mistaken due to the habit of collectivised farms artificially inflating what they grew, in order to please the thieving communist officials and not get punished as a result. There are accounts of people actually being murdered for hoarding grain in their house, in order to feed their families. In the third and forth year, all the problems accumulating from the previous two years, compounded by floods, culminating in a major shortage of grain, resulting in mass starvation and widespread death. Some people resorted to cannibalism apparently, although there are only a few eye witness accounts of this. (for obvious reasons). Famines occur in most places around the world from time to time. The problem with the 1959 - 1962 famine is that it was 100% preventable. If the agricutural production had not been so severely disrupted by communist meddling and corruption, this calamity would never have happened. It is now history, but it is a shameful thing to lie about it. So, what do think about this statement, now that you know a few more facts? "Chairman Mao Zedong did not murder those people, they starved to death because of Great Chinese Famine which was caused by bad weather conditions like flood and drought, causing destruction of crops and resulted in poor harvest and mass starvation"

  745. If you think liberal democracy is a bad fit for China then you are forgetting what a bad fit Communism was for China right from the beginning. Communism was created by Karl Marx, a German Jew, living in England. The framework of his philosophy was written around the existing class structure (in Europe) where the bourgeoisie (middle class) were in a class struggle with the proletariat (working class) and were said to be exploiting them for materialistic gain. Marx proclaimed that, by natural law, the working classes should in charge of the means of production and distribution and all property should be collectivised. A fine theory which worked well ... until the day you try to implement it. When China took on Communism there had not been an industrial revolution, in fact they had not even had an agrarian revolution. People worked the land and the land was owned by a group of landlords. Since there were no factories or industry to collectivise, the Communists collectivised the land. This was the first in a series of massive missteps resulting in upwards of 30 million people starving to death. Not content with that disaster, the Communists went on to destroy the rest of the country for 30 years. You can read about the rest of these calamities in your history books. So, if you think liberal democracy is a bad fit for China and Communism was a mistake, that leaves you with only one other option ... an authoritarian regime everyone hates. Maybe its time to make democracy work for you. After all, Taiwan has made it work, why not China ?

Its more fun but more challenging. I've seen all the memes you wumaos put up, the latest seeming to be white supremacy which I assume, you picked up from one of the western leftists message boards or BLM websites. Since you brought up a philosophical point relating to what might be suitable for Chinese culture, allow me to briefly elaborate. Because your culture is so biased towards order and conformity, there is less room for original thinking and "disruptive" ideas which are often the genesis of new and interesting technologies. This is why it has been necessary for Chinese research and manufacturing companies to steal western technologies. Has this occurred to you? Although the CCP has done its best to destroy what goes for culture in China, it has cemented in place, through various forms of indoctrination, the natural occurring tendency among Chinese people to not challenge power. Over the past seventy years of communist, this has left the people vulnerable to exploitation and manipulation more than in the past. Now that there is an "exquisite" totalitarian regime in place, it might be possible to push the boundaries of innovative and original thinking... but it seems the spirit of free thinking has evaporated along with the better traditions of your culture, leaving dysfunctional, angry weirdos like you to howl at the moon. If China was ruled by a representative government which abided by modern social attitudes, diplomatic protocols and fair commerce, the cancellation of the BRI would never have happened. Chinese business culture, in its current form, has nothing to offer other countries apart from enslavement. It is therefore being rejected wholesale. As far as the numbers of people who support the CCP is concerned, please don't assume we are stupid enough to believe ANYTHING coming from an apologist for a crime syndicate like the CCP. Secondly, if there was an alternative "Party" in China, the CCP support would be recorded at approximately 15% with most of the remaining supporters too traumatised and brainwashed from 70 years of brutal communist suppression to think for themselves because the CCP has succeeded in supressing original thinkers and creativity. There is no room in your poisoned society for genuine leadership or authentic heros to emerge. Or.. more likely, the whole economy will simply implode because the banks (Bank Of China, China Construction Bank, Agricultural Bank of China and Bank of Communications) will experience massive right offs due to bad debt. The plunging US dollar will give these banks some breathing space but only temporarily. China has reached the end of the road for stimulus measures. Debt monetization through the government issued bonds to cover its spending will lead (is leading) to high inflation which accelerates the already bad situation for the banks. So, the collapse of the Chinese economy will start with the banks. Making the situation even worse will be a the eventual crash of the US dollar so China need to call on its huge gold reserves to purchase food, machinery and components for its manufacturing sector because who the f*ck would take RMB as payment? Hence the yuan will go into a tail spin and the people of China will find themselves back in 1980, decoupled from the world financial institutions with civil unrest rearing it ugly head. Does that answer your question? Before you start crapping on about the US having exactly the same problem, save it. I'm not American. But yes, they have the same problem. However, the difference is the Americans will solve their problems much more quickly because they have an open and democratic society. Might sound meaningless to you, but its makes all the difference during crisis.
