Not yet. He's still got a European Cup and several Top flight league trophies to win before he could compete with Villa's previous best managers, who did with those titles.

If it wasn't for Gerrard's disasterous start to this current season, Villa might have been 3rd in the league by now, given their form since Unai Emery took over.

@wackywaa1458 Maybe, as a Newcastle fan, he just recognises that both clubs are massive and have been underperforming for a LOOONG time now? It's good that both of these sleeping giants are now rising up the league again.
