In normal life, suspects with that many charges, would 100% be remanded in custody until the Trial, to prevent any risk of further repeat offences. It could easily be argued that Man City should have been suspended from the league until the Court outcome. Perhaps then, they wouldn't have employed their incessant delaying tactics and non-co-operation and the matter could have been resolved swiftly (one way, or the other). Instead of dragging on for years and putting the validity and legitimacy of their "winning" further championships titles and silverware into serious doubt, as they have done.
