@ForestFanEdits Fair enough then. Rules are the rules. Sucks for Palace. But their fans should blame the club not the rules. Since it was their owners who made the error of owning two clubs which could potentially be playing in the same competition and not sorting that out before the deadline, as clearly stated in the rules. If UEFA back down from this, they would make a farce out of their own rules and competition.

Why is it only Palace who would be disqualified from Europa League? Why not Lyon instead?

@ForestFanEdits If it was any of our clubs, it would feel terrible. Never mind a club like Palace that hasn't had much success historically. But once you start bending the rules to accommodate specific clubs, no matter who they are, you open up a Pandora's box. It's bad enough that the likes of Man City have managed to financially tie-up the Courts in knots for so long to avoid punishment. What we need is to start treating EVERY (and I do mean EVERY) club equally. And by that, I mean even the likes of a Real Madrid or Liverpool needs to start also being treated exactly the same as the lower-status clubs like, in this instance Palace, at every level of the game, from on the pitch officials, up to the owners and the legal aspects of the game also.
