@davidgutierrez8297 the materials, employee hours, machinery maintenance, ... are definitely part of the production cost. Now the other things, sure, but everything else (including the same "usual" tool) has these costs too. Basically you could probably quite easily get things like this to a sale price of half a dollar, a dollar at most. Disposable plastic cups have a sale price of one cent. Now ofcourse this tool is a bit more complex, however similar very cheap methods would be used. As for storing, it shouldn't really be an issue, not for something as small as this. Packaging can be done really cheap if you go for large quantities and automated process, like I'd be surprised if this costs more than 2-3 cents per tool.
Also plastic when bent enough just snaps.
The entire point of this techniques is that it doesn't happen here. Their switches can go through a million cycles. I'd doubt you use it that often. As for bending it too much, how would that happen exactly? Only improper use would cause that.
