  1. Same happened to the wheel of time adaptation, hijacked to promote their own views and messages. This despite WoT already having a very diverse world (nearly every skintone is at some point mentioned, both strong male and female characters, even some same sex relations, though last part is pretty rare), yet they had to push it way beyond that. Is it a coincidence that it are both Amazon series? Probably not.
