@VolvoEX30Performance No record of software updates: The car isn't even out yet, obviously there is no track record. But their will be over the air updates. more than twice as slow charging limit: no, the peak charging speed for the model SR+ is 170kW, for the id.3 100kW. In the end this means around 20 vs 30 minutes. Seeing how few times most people would need to use this (normally) it doesn't matter. Tiny infotainment: the car isn't meant to be a luxury like a Tesla. Even the model 3 is 10k euro more expensive at this moment. They could put in a larger screen, no need to. Furthermore who really needs youtube and netflix at this moment in a car. It would be a nice gimmick, but that's it. Worse sound system: I guess you have tested both? No frunk: no, really? A car that is meant to be a small hatchback hasn't got a frunk? Who could have guessed? A frunk is unnecessary. what counts more is trunk space imo.

@MsAjax409 Model Y is a completely different class than the ID.3 comparing them is just ridiculous. The model Y is almost twice as expensive.

@nox5555 I was responding to someone why claimed that the Tesla had better sound, despite providing any reasons.

goodfella21f Even if it becomes as cheap as in the US (it wouldn't due to other taxes), it would still be a difference of around 10k. The Y will never be in the same class, the model 3 might however be more in the same class as the id.3 once they produce them in Germany.

goodfella21f Yeah, though I wouldn't be surprised if that hatchback is just in a lower price range than the ID.3, in functionality I'd estimate it to be in the same class. That is why I hope that it won't take long to come, that car might truly be able to speed up the EV adoption.
