  1. I don't really think HBO Chernobyl should have integrated all these details. They were clearly just focusing on the direct surrounding and events of the disaster. Several of these details (while nice to know) where clearly outside the scope of the the serie. And while adding these few details wouldn't be difficult, they'd feel out of place without a lot of other details and a storyline that focuses on things outside the "direct" surrounding, possible bloating the series. The only real detail that they might have included was the classical music on the radio playing in Prypiat. The scottish arc definitely wasn't necessary, the "they don't let children play outside in Frankfurt" line made it quite clear how huge the scope actually was.
