UK: -pro remain parties gained overall more votes than pro brexit parties France: Le Pen's party lost 1,5% compared to five years ago Italy: Eursceptic parties gained a few % compared to the last Italian election. Lega mostly took votes from the five star movement. The question is, will in future national election things remain the same or five star and lega switch again. Europe: Pro eu parties gained 58 extra seats, eusceptic parties gained 4 extra seats (although the hard eurosceptic parties grew at the cost of the lighter eurosceptic parties).

  4. What these panellists and people here commenting don't understand is that an EU army isn't actually an unpopular idea in many of the memberstates. Many europeans would like the EU to become more independent from the US and become stronger itself, even if this is done through the EU. And now was a perfect time to speak about this, the overal popularity of the EU has increased thanks to brexit, calls for other countries leaving have gone mostly down and the US has been shown that it might not remain such a stable ally as everyone thought.
