To everyone who thinks it's only Americans who are defying orders, they should look up "crowds gather at Europe beaches". It's not that hard.

@kochka22 - Well, as long as you know it isn't only Americans, I guess you're more knowledgeable than at least most in this comment section. According to those beach pics though it doesn't look like the US is on another level.

@patriotnemisis - People think that the average surgeon does surgery for hours upon hours at least 5 days a week and that's not the case. And I agree with you about the masks.

I would like to know how masks have slowed the spread when even according to the CDC and WHO, wearing masks wrong, touching your face too much or adjusting your mask too much will actually help spread the virus, yet that's all I see people do who are forced to wear them for any length of time.

@dday9433 - Why is there only consideration taken to those who are shopping? I'm gearing my question more towards people who are actually working in states where masks are mandatory in all businesses. But just for the record, I see the same happening with shoppers too.

@jasonvolta3657 - I understand they're putting people on a vent with a pulse ox of 92. That's absolutely ridiculous for anywhere in the 90's. Might have something to do with the $30,000 a pop they're getting from each person they can do this to. I would refuse a ventilator anyway.

I don't think masks are a health risk used in short periods of time such as shopping. The reason for not wearing masks for short periods of time are for totally different reasons. I do however think they are unhealthy for people who are wearing them for long periods of time day in and day out. All these people who think that surgeons perform surgery every day for hour upon end, the way people who work an actual job through this pandemic are expected to now are misinformed. Every scientist who tells everyone they are crazy to think they suffer from more than uncomfortable side effects from a mask should be forced to work a high paced job in high heat for an average workweek for a certain period of time. I would like to see if their conclusions are the same. I believe people who are working are messing up their lungs with the masks and making themselves more susceptible to getting the virus with more serious effects from it, even death. I would like a study done on the new cases arising with the younger people to know if those people wore masks because they were forced by their employers but my guess is that study will never be conducted.
