I don't think they generally do. People are acting like this is the first positive Trump has said about the jab and that's not true. Even his own base has booed him over the vax. Are people forgetting that? Either the elite truly believe that Trump's base will do whatever he says if he pushes hard enough or they're pushing his base towards DeSantis. It is the people at the top plus the news media making everything political.

As long as Trump stays pro choice instead of mandate over the vax, I don't care how wonderful he thinks the jab is.

@halfpiint - The vaccine wasn't even out for public use until Trump was out of office or at least close to it. Trump touts himself as the father of the covid vaccine. He was never downplaying something he's so proud of and gives himself credit for.

@halfpiint - What are you talking about? It wasn't up to Trump when the jab became available to the public, it was up to the FDA. He was ticked because the FDA kept delaying it until after the election. I'm not talking about Trump downplaying the virus I'm saying he wouldn't and has not downplayed the vax. Trump has been for the vaccine from even before they came out. He wouldn't call himself the father of something and then claim it's not that important.

@pamelacook4896 - Don't put your faith and trust in any man. I don't think we're going back to pre-covid regardless of who's in office or even if things would start to look like they're turning around at all. If people don't put their hope in Jesus then there is no hope.

People think that Trump supporters are so wrapped up in Trump that they'll do anything he says to do. They're wrong. He'll lose his base and they'll start fully supporting DeSantis over Trump, that's all. Of course Trump's base will abandon him if they realize he's part of the establishment and his stance on vaccines will let them know.
