  1. All funds paid into Social Security are used to buy Special US government bonds that earn interest. It is on their website FAQs. The Special part is they are redeemable for full value at anytime. No waiting period. Congress does not vote to fund Social Security. They vote to decide how much of the Interest payment they are going to make. If the Republicans repeal Social Security not only will those who paid into get rip offed. I see Class Action Lawsuit. The government loses all the money from the purchases of the bonds. They wont have enough money to make payroll. Basically they will Defund the Government. What a bunch of stupid people.
