Thank you for the update. I am not for cluster munitions being used by any party. They are a gift that keeps on giving long after the war is over. Children who have not been born yet will pay the price. There is a claim that the US is only sending those with a low percentage failure rate. A report from Insider says the fail rate is most likely much higher. As high as 30%.

@davidhowse884 I dont like cluster munitions no matter who uses them. The organization Insider published a report within the last few days since the story broke that the US was going yo supply them that the US failure rate was also as high as 30 percent. Each 155 mm round contains between 65 to 72 bomblets. Depending on the mix of Antipersonnel or Antivehicle sub munitions. To reach 1 million sub munitions only takes about 13,000 155 mm artillery rounds. At a fail rate of 1% that is 10,000 unexploded pieces of ordinance. Af 2% that is 20,000 unexploded pieces of ordinance. I did not suggest a better weapon I simply stated I am against the use of cluster munitions. As I am also against the use of non command detonated land mines.and chemical warfare. Just because the enemy does something does not make it okay for me or my country to do it. Just because we did not sign a treaty does that mean it is okay to do it. The Laws of Land Warfare on what is acceptable have been argued out over a very long time. Many countries decided against the use of cluster munitions. Some to include Russia, Ukraine and the US decided not to sign. That does not make them any less culpable. Using that logic I could break the rules daily by driving without a license. Saying well I dont have a license I dont agree to the rules. Same thing as the ICC. The US did not sign because we will police ourselves. What a load of horsechyt. No military should target civilians. Civilians will always be caught in the crossfire but direct targeting is a crime. The people responsible should be tried in a court of law.

@davidhowse884 I never said it was not Ukraine's call. I said I was against it. I have been against the Forever Wars of the US military from almost the get go. I fell into the we were attacked trap early on. To this day I believe the US invasion of Iraq was illegal. That George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld are criminals and should be tried in a court of law.
