  2.  @wilsonj4705  I really like the M1 and agree with you. The AR 15 is also very simple to operate and inexperienced shooters can become very proficient at close and medium ranges with a minimum of training. I still want to be shot with either one.

  4.  @larryfontenot9018  The M1 Carbine was sold to various Allies after the war. This was to make way for a standardized size rifle. To decrease logistical problems shipping two different calibers of ammo. They are still in use today. South Korea issues them to their version of the National Guard. Israel had been issuing them to police forces. Other countries are also still using them.
