  1. Nice rifle. I understand this is a trials gun but I can see that screw on top of the bolt taking a lot of abuse as it repeatedly strikes the receiver over its service life.

  2. Not really. Usually the extractor is on the position in the direction in which you want the expended case to go when it is pulled out of the chamber. Most extractors are opposite the ejector. Some ejectors are fixed like an M1911A1 and some are spring loaded like an AR 15. As a case is pulled out of the chamber and hits the ejector this twists the front of the case in the direction of the extractor. As it does the case lip flips off the extractor hook.
