Because they cant buy one to protect their toilet paper.

No. The M242 Bushmaster was not designed to go after tanks. For that purpose the Bradley has a twin TOW missle launcher and carries an additional 5 missles for a total of seven.

Also it maybe based on previous ammunition sizes and choices. Many types of ammunition have been sized up or down from existing cartridges to get a desired effect.
2
That part is.
2
Bet a trained crew could do it in less than a minute.

@davidmbeckmann Mounting a MG(M2 or M60) to a tripod. Have to attach the gun to the spindle and then attach the Travesing and Elevating mechanism to the tripod and the gun.

He is not going to advertise.

M242 Bushmaster mounted on M2 Bradley's. Armor Piercing Discarding Sabot about 1400m per second. Tracer burnout at 1.8 k. So for 1930s this is dang good.

Ship.

@schlirf Oh I aint impressed with the M2 Bradley either. One of the biggest boondoggles in military spending up to that point. Enter F35 and Littoral combat vessels. Simply stating the doctrine not the implementation there of. Since when Calvary officers know anyrhing. J/K Thanks for your service.

@ramjb I bet the US government knows who owns them. If one got used in a crime(extremely unlikely) they would know right where to go.
1
@ramjb Because many automatic weapons can be carried in two hands and one could walk into a bank. Think Bonnie and Clyde, Machinegun Kelly, Pretty Boy Floyd, Ma Barker, St Valentunes day massacre. Unregulated automatic weapons were used in the comission of many crimes around the time the laws were passed. I personally also think the laws are confusing.

@ramjb Transferrable does not mean unregulated. It is listed as a destructive device. A person still has to go through the paperwork and pay the tax Ian did a video on this sometime back. Describing what transferrable and non transferable mean. Non transferable means it can only go to certain classes of firearms license holders. Not regular citizens. Transferable means a person like me. regular citizen. who does not have a firearms license, but the money to do so can apply for, do a more extensive background check, pay the tax $200.00. If the ATF approves then I can be legally allowed to own an item like this. Works pretty much the same way as a suppresor, SBR,SBS or transferable MG. They just make you prove you are a law abiding citizen before letting you have one. I know this did not clear it up because I am from the US and the laws are complex and in many cases downright asinine. But hey with a several thousand dollars and little bit of paperwork I could buy this. Beats a place I cant at all.
1
@ramjb I can buy an MG also the same way. Some are transferable some are not. That depends on basically when they were made.
1
@ramjb Oh I agree with you 100 percent. I was just hoping to light a little shed.

Hopefully at least one.
