  1. Bolt action and gas operated weapons tend to develop extremely high chamber pressures. Hence the longer delay in unlocking gas operated systems. Most gas ports are rather far down the barrel. By the time the locking lugs disengage the bullet is usually out of the barrel and the pressure is mostly gone. The system CZ uses here is very different from my experience which is limited. .45 ACP develops about 21000 psi chamber pressure with such a short barrel it only takes a minimal amount of time before most of the pressure and the bullet has exited the barrel.
