  2.  @perto1970  Although HK called it a Silent Closing System. I would bet it is more of a forward assist in the event of a round not chambering properly. I personally would dislike the idea of using my thumb to assist a hot bolt carrier into its proper position. No matter how well things are designed sooner or later it will malfunction. Especially in combat.
