I believe that Hunters safety courses are pretty much standard in every state. There used to be a grandfather clause if you were born before a certain year you did not have to take one in Texas, but if you went to another state to hunt like Colorado you had to take a hunters safety course no matter what age you were.

@OrileyOwnage They did this for museum display pieces in our units museum in the US Military in 1988. One of the display pieces was a functioning Luger until the Army got a hold it. There were several more some of them were WW1 weapons but the only one I remember was the Luger.

@razzorbladz although i find these answers funny. You do realize that the producers edited the video so only the stupidest or silliest answers make it to the show.

Thanks for sharing. Interesting take on firearms. Really surprised that the European Union laws allowed people to posses more firearms. That is very interesting.

@unpietraselvatico7912 So basically well off people can buy a license to protect themselves.

Machine gun laws are simple. Pretty much there is a law whereby the well off people can have machine guns. Obviously there are a few countries where they say no way no how but many have some sort of licensing system. By designating a certain year they have to be manufactured before such as in the US 1986 you limit the supply and by the laws of supply and demand when the supply is small the price goes up. There by taking the common man or woman out of the equation. What person who is working a nine to five job paying off a house, two cars, a couple of student loans and raising two children has enough money laying around to purchase a machine gun?

Most people who make laws know nothing about the subject they are making laws about. It is not only guns.
