  1. It is NOT about that. And the Ukrainians do celebrate Christmas today: they are Catholics in the west of the Ukraine. And they do mark the occasion in Kiev as well, in the capital. I know from my Ukrainian friends who live in Kiev. They celebrate both Christmas days now. For years already.
