  1. The Colorado Supreme Court ruled based on the U.S. Constitution. That pretty much MAKES it the federal government's (and thus the U.S. Supreme Court's) business. The U.S. Supreme Court has ALWAYS had a say (the final say, in fact) in interpreting the Constitution. Add to that the fact that Donald Trump has been ACCUSED of insurrection, but has never been CONVICTED, or even TRIED for insurrection. IIRC, the Constitution prohibits denying anyone their rights without due process of law, and not only does the U.S. Supreme Court have the right, but the obligation, to overturn the Colorado Supreme Court Ruling. The Colorado Supreme Court knows this. It stayed it's own ruling until after the date when the 2024 election must be certified.
