Funny coincident. The killer of Litvinenko, Andrey Lugovoy became a Russian parliamentarian after all this.

Former president of Estonia is one of the most adequate people in Eastern Europe in terms of Russian-West relations. I prefer to see him giving lectures for the Wester politics.

For those who have studied the character of the Russian government, knows that the Russian government is governed by mobs and gangs, where power is concentrated in a few hands. And wherever such a concentration of power exists, there you shall find great crimes and great criminals – that is to say, psychopaths. This is the character of the Russian government.

"The Slave Soul of Russia: Moral Masochism and the Cult of Suffering". This book explores a little-remarked-upon but essential part of the Russian character and historical depth. It is among the most interesting and illuminating books available on Russia and Russians. Dostoevsky’s books are filled with aggression and suffering, and now we can understand their essence – Dostoevsky described the Russian genetic code. I would recommend this book for anyone studying Russian history, politics, psychology or literature. Anyone dealing with Russians in practical matters (e.g. business or other negotiations) will also benefit from it. This book is a must-read for all, especially for politicians. Here is a compelling portrait of the Russian people's psychology. "The Slave Soul of Russia: Moral Masochism and the Cult of Suffering", by Daniel Rancour-Laferriere, American historian. Available on Amazon.

Under successive authoritarian/totalitarian regime, Russia has been on the wrong side of humanity since the late 19th century. The days of Peter the Great are long gone. The Russian ruling oligarchy today is obsessed with lust for power and delusion of greatness. They employ mob tactics to gain advantage whenever they cannot win fairly. Those oligarchs siphon wealth off Russia to fulfil their own pockets at the expense of ordinary Russian people. A few examples of recent Russian atrocities include: Shooting down of MH17 over eastern Ukraine (by Russian backed surrogates); state-sponsored doping at the Sochi Olympics; annexation of eastern Ukraine; annexation of Crimea; the war in Chechnya; killing and the poisoning of opponents; support for the brutal Assad regime in Syria; etc. The Russian cyber squad has been spreading disinformation and launching cyberattacks to undermine western democracies. We are all now witnessing the actions of an EVIL REGIME.

The problem of today’s Russia goes back to 1917 when the country was taken over by gangsters who called themselves “communists”. In 1991, when the Soviet Union collapsed, power remained concentrated in a few hands. The government was not really accountable to anyone. Despite this underlying reality, everything was arranged so that it all appeared to be moving in the direction of democratic capitalism and proper checks and balances, but nothing of the kind ever happened. The objective of making changes in the first place was to fool the West. Despite the millions of words written on Putin's Russia, the West still fails to truly understand Russia.

Despite the millions of words written on Putin's Russia, the West still fails to truly understand one of the world's most powerful politicians, whose influence spans the globe and whose networks of power reach into the very heart of our daily lives. 'In fewer than 150 pithy pages, a convincing picture of the man in the Kremlin and the political system that he dominates' From Putin’s early life in the KGB and his real relationship with the USA to his vision for the future of Russia - and the world. Ther are new Russian sources and explosive unpublished accounts to give unparalleled insight into the man at the heart of global politics. "We Need to Talk About Putin: Why the West gets him wrong". Available on Amazon.

«All my thoughts are turned, first of all, to democratic nations... There would be a measureless disaster if "Russian barbarism" overlaid the culture and democracy of liberal world. I believe that the family of democratic nations will be able to act as one... I turn my eyes to a united democratic world». — Winston Churchill, 21 October 1942, "The hinge of fate"

«The Russians are so accustomed to the Cold War, that they will not be able to conduct international relations in any other forms. Instead of building modern roads, they will be threatening peace with war». – Winston Churchill, British Prime Minister (1874-1965), House of Commons
