Yes -- the clear distinction between "us" and "them" -- the obvious arms'-length distancing from involvement -- is condescendingly called "care". "My medical director is a minimalist in medication intervention and only prescribes the most necessary of drugs. He’s extremely involved in their needs and care and doesn’t just come in and prescribe". That is contradicted by this: "The physician jokingly states he doesn’t know what we are doing".

The system talks about how the elderly are "isolated". Being elderly I can tell you that the isolation is imposed by that very same system. And that increasingly includes the medical industry. And in the US the health "care" system is based upon monetization of illness: the sicker you are, the greater the profits for both the insurance and medical industries. And there's the impenetrable discrimination that assumes the elderly are suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's, so any complaint about that enforced isolation is ignored as symptomatic of dementia or Alzheimer's. How much does that self-serving for-profit brutality contribute to premature deterioration of health?

Fantasy and delusion.

@@mustafamuse643 The idea that "God" must run the entire infinite universe -- except to pause to pay individual attention to infinitesimal human ego, vanity, is astoundingly absurd. Astoundingly arrogant in its inflated self-importance.
