Right-wing extremists -- white supremacists -- have long characterized "states; rights" -- properly tainted with RACISM -- as superior to the Federal gov't and Constitution. It is exactly opposite, as expressly stipulated in the US Constitutions Supremacy Clause.

Be certain to VOTE, especially because Trump's attacks on elections, and especially absentee voting, is convincing his supporters that it is a WASTE OF TIME to VOTE. Their "alternative" is VIOLENCE -- which is PROHIBITED by the Constitution, and the FIRST obligation of gov't and the rule of law is to protect public health and safety. Trump is finished. It's just that he and they don't know it yet.

Yeah -- the Founders were wrong, in the view of those who know nothing at all about why they established the Electoral College -- no, it was not about "controlling the slaves" -- and have no plan to replace it with anything except "direct democracy". The January 6th insurrection was "direct democracy" -- and insurrection is expressly prohibited by the same Constitution. You and your ilk don't know what you're talking about. Worse, the constitution as the supreme law of the land is under unprecedent ATTACK by the anti-democratic right wing. And what is your response to that? To ATTACK the Constitution.
