Matt Gates was NOT "appointed" -- he was NOMINATED. Whether a nomination is successful is up to the Senate. IF they approve the nominee then the nominee is an appointee. And it is not news that Trump is nominating individuals who WILL destroy the agencies to which nominated. He is nominating the swamp to drown the rule of law.
