  1. The Buffalo mass murder was committed with an assault rifle. There was a security guard, a retired police officer with training, who had and used a handgun. The additional difference was that the mass murderer was wearing body armor, and the security guard with the handgun is dead.

  4.  @mballer  Too bad body armor is in the possession of private citizens. There is no excuse for that. "More guns" wouldn't have made a difference against the body armor. And as the evidence is overwhelming, more guns equals more gun violence and death.
