  1. The Academy is vulnerable to suit from Chris Rock. If they continue to blame Chris Rock, he should sue against that defamation. And NO: Chris Rock DID NOT tell a joke. He COMPLIMENTED Will Smith's wife by comparing her to a film character who is viewed as a POSITIVE ROLE MODEL.

  2. Chris Rock DID NOT say Will Smith shouldn't be removed. He said he wasn't pressing charges -- which is not the same thing. Will Smith's "apology" was written by his publicist -- and was filled with excuses and justifications.

  3. The Academy is trying to avoid responsibility by blaming Chris Rock -- thus only digging the self-inflicted hole deeper.

  5. They are putting the responsibility on Chris Rock for not doing as the LAW and Academy rules REQUIRED the Academy do. And it was Will Smith who got the "condolences" -- but none for Chris Rock.
