"Presidential documents" applies to ALL presidential documents, not only those classified.

@ryanreedgibson "USC. is U.S. Code. The "presidential Documents Act" is in the U.S. Code. And "presidential records" includes everything produced by the president and his office -- including the non-classified. As it has pointed out multiple times: the three statutes cited as being violated on which the probable cause was based, and on which the warrant for search issued, DO NOT require CLASSIFICATION. THE LAW: ALL information generated by a gov't employee, regardless whether classified, is GOV'T PROPERTY. NONE of it belongs to the gov't employee. The same goes for GIFTS given to a president by, as example, a foreign nation: THEY DON'T BELONG TO THE PRESIDENT; they are turned over to the National Archives.

The LAW: ALL information generated by gov't employees, whether classified or not, BELONGS TO THE GOV'T. NONE of it belongs to the employee.

Because Trump has never taken "NO!" as an answer, so he continued to act "as if" he were the president. Which means he was violating classification protocols even when he was,
5
@dayers8715 It's his view that he doesn't need to know the law because he never intends to comply with it.

@igotufoinformation9636 Is that why the media, which are included in the scope of your "everybody," are excessively focused only on the classified documents?

They are still lying -- and making admissions -- in their court filings.

frank dreben In other words, you, a law-illiterate, reject the rule of law in your mistaken belief that the absence of the rule of law -- lawless chaos -- would somehow include personal safety. Clue: there are sneakier and superior bushwackers out there than you delusions about yourself.

@SibiuLM Not all channels are "politically affiliated". Facts v. politics. And AG Garland is a study in the implementation of this dictum: "Justice and the Rule of Law are to be ABOVE politics." -- John Adams.

@igotufoinformation9636 Not at all. Not all presidential documents are classified; and those not classified are not necessarily public. Why would, as example, Obama's letter to Trump be classified -- there is no way it would reveal classified information. But let's go to the bottom line: Trump FALSELY alleged that President Obama "took" 33 million documents when he left office. IN FACT, all of Obama's documents were turned over to the National Archives (NARA). Any access to those documents -- limited of course to non-classified -- by Obama himself would be subject to the protocols established by NARA. The possession and control of ALL presidential records, even those accessible to scholars at presidential libraries, is with NARA. NO president can have that GOV'T property in his possession, even if not classified. Because presidential records are the United States' HISTORY of presidencies. A president -- including the present president -- no more owns the presidential documents produced during his presidency than he owns the presidency itself.
1
@igotufoinformation9636 No, because "presidential documents" are not limited to the classified. In fact, it's probable that the classified are a small percentage of the total number of presidential documents of any given president.
1
@igotufoinformation9636 Of course Obama's letter to Trump falls under the "Presidential Records Act". I need to learn about it? I have an education in law, have extensive experience working on gov't documents law and issues, and you are a law-illiterate who defends New York con-man and career criminal Trump and his assault on the RULE OF LAW. AGAIN: ALL information generated by gov't employees -- the president is an EMPLOYEE, NOT "the BOSS" -- is GOV'T property. The employee owns NONE of it. Our gov't consists of three co-EQUAL branches: the president is not above the other two. The Impeachment Clause, in the Constitution, applies to criminal presidents. The Constitution is the SUPREME Law of the Land, and Trump IS NOT above the law. OBVIOUSLY, Obama's letter to Trump, written by President Obama, is a PRESIDENTIAL RECORD.
1
@igotufoinformation9636 Actually the investigation is not focused on classified documents -- that is the media's distortion. It has been repeatedly reported, by more responsible media, that the three statutes Trump is alleged to have violated have NOTHING to do with the classification status of the documents. The investigation is focused on retrieving STOLEN GOV'T PROPERTY -- presidential records, SOME of which are classified. Investigating what was done with the classified records is a separate or additional investigation.
1
@igotufoinformation9636 The gov't "is conducting a criminal investigation concerning . . . the unlawful concealment or removal of government records." AGAIN: "government records" are not limited to classified information. IN FACT, after the first 15 boxes were returned, and their contents cataloged by NARA, they noticed that the Obama and Kim Jong-Un letters were missing. That is why the suspicion that Trump had more presidential records. So NARA referred the matter to DOJ: THEFT of GOV'T PROPERTY, regardless classification status, is a CRIME. The same applies to GIFTS to presidents by, as example, a foreign nation: they GO TO NARA BECAUSE GOV'T PROPERTY. Among the three statutes cited as being violated is the "Presidential Records Act". That statute came about after Nixon sued to keep his tapes as "personal documents". He LOST because they were generated by him as a gov't employee and concerned presidential matters.
1
@igotufoinformation9636 Yes, jackass, because not all GOV'T PROPERTY is CLASSIFIED.
1
@igotufoinformation9636 If a president writes a letter to a private citizen, that letter is a presidential document, therefore it is GOV'T PROPERTY.
1
@igotufoinformation9636 RULE OF LAW. The three statutes cited as violated have NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CLASSIFICATION STATUS OF THE DOCUMENTS. They have to do with the FACT that ALL the documents, INCLUDING THE NON-classified, are GOV'T PROPERTY.

@igotufoinformation9636 THE WARRANT COVER SHEET, troll.

@igotufoinformation9636 _Trump's Solicitation of Crimes from Georgia Election Officials_: THIS IS THE LAW: The Model Penal Code defines solicitation as commanding, encouraging, or requesting another person to engage in conduct that constitutes a crime or an attempt to commit a crime (with the intent that the crime be committed). Model Penal Code S. 5.02(1) (1962). Generally the code provides that solicitation be as punishable as the crime solicited. Id. at S. 5.05(1). Law Dictionary, Giffis, at 446. THIS IS THE EVIDENCE: 1. Sixty-Seven Minute Taped Conversation with Trump, Georgia Secretary of State Raffensperger, and Others. 2. Taped Conversation with Trump and Georgia Elections Investigator Frances Watson. ___ PLEASE CIRCULATE INTACT

Trump has no rights in this case. It's a simple case: He STOLE GOV'T PROPERTY.

Because all that fruit-fringe nonsense is nonsense.
