  3.  @jemcain8676  I know all that. And there were two Founders who were also confused: Sam Adams spelled the word "Governour," and his cousin John spelled it, "Governor". I blame the English for screwing up the language -- and after that Canada for illegally importing that confusion to the North American continent, and the Founders of the US for not being 100 per cent against the confusion. Even in the 1960s: "The Firesign Theater" snootily changed their name, after their first LP, to "The Firesign Theatre". And they weren't even from Canada.
