  1. We pay taxes to support gov't becuase gov't isn't intended to make a profit. Slowing the mails is yet anohter attack on the Postal Service with the ultimate goal of eliminating it as "competition" with private for-profit corporations. Postmaster General DeJoy owns businesses which compete with the Postal Service, and he is all about subverting the Postal Service as a competitor. In essence, he is throwing sand in the gears in order to destroy it.

  2. The first bill enaced by the Congress under the Constitution was a revenue -- tax -- bill.. And that was before the "Judiciary Act" establishing courts. The mail system existed long before there was a Constitution, and it is incorporated and established in the Constitution.
