One can't go wrong by assuming he's lying.

He's also LYING. HE is the author of carnage.

Showing one's palms is an effort to persuade that one is being open and honest. But he consciously knows how to manipulate with body language.

He also uses his hands when he fears not being believed -- in other words, when he's lying.

Don't believe anything you read -- except, of course, my fraudulent financial statements.

Why doesn't he take the stand and say the same stuff?

@gionncaomhinmorpheagh4791 His hands send a double message: 1. it is "instinctive" that when a person is showing their inner hands openly, they are being vulnerable and honest. 2. At the same time, the way Trump does it is not only manipulative but also "pushing away" the issue with which he's being confronted. He is struggling to both work out and believe his own lie so he can then be convincing.

@pipermccool It is an effort to change the subject to something extremely severe. The problem is that it is a fantasy -- it is not happening. And, of course, he is implying that all the "murders" are being committed by Blacks, and therefore that the DA, being Black, is "racist" against whites and "protecting" those "murderers". He is a lifelong liar and racist, but a very poor storyteller. But his target audience is those he's said he loves: the UNEDUCATED.

@TruBlu65 Credible people back their allegations with EVIDENCE. You smear -- which is allegation without a shred of evidence. More directly: you are repeating a LIE: the vast majority of MASS MURDERS are in REPUBLICAN-run GUN-NUT states like TEXAS and FLORIDA.

It's all an act -- he doesn't believe a word he says.
1
@roxannemoser He knows when he's lying.

@roxannemoser Years ago he admitted that it's all an act -- and that he didn't understand that it works. The reason he is desperate is that he certainly knows the difference between right and wrong. All the actions with his hands is when he is anxious that he is not being believed -- so he gets more intense in his effort to convince. The unsophisticated falsely interpret it as certitude and conviction. Are you qualified to "diagnose" anyone, let alone a person you've never met?
