  1. It is a culture created over decades with the incessant attacks on "political correctness" -- on decency. They view decency as a constraint, and they are correct; so they false pose "freedom" as the alternative to constraint -- of decency, civility, manners. What they don't understand at most basic: rights are protected IN LAW -- without which those rights become "opinion". BY LAW rights are protected from infringement, with penalties attached to infringements. Ultimately they are being told it's acceptable to act like grade school bullies -- they are "free" to be unintelligent.
