  2.  @MarkovianMan  Those "rules" are in the CONSTITUTION, and NOT as amendment. The Founders knew what they were doing, and had much law and experience to draw on. The problem is not the "rules"; the problem is corrupt humans. No system of laws -- gov't -- is perfect, but ours is designed as about as best possible, so keeps the corruption -- which is endemic to human affairs -- under some control. But there is a movement in this country -- it's aways been there -- intent on overthrowing the Constitution and the democracy based thereon in order to replace it with dictatorship -- especially a "religious" dictatorship which in self-interest has always been willing to justify and commit mass murder. In fact, the "Bible" on which it is based records "God" ordering mass murders, alongside praising "God" as "merciful".
