  2. In a world exclusively of monarchies and dictatorships, the Founders established a democracy governed by "We the people". That, by ANY measure, is PROGRESSIVE. The intent of the gov't is to meet the needs of "We the people," as determined by "We the people' through elected representatives. That, by ANY measure, is PROGRESSIVE.
