Pence needs to strap on his prosthetic spine and testify to the Committee.

@TheUluxian The lead Republican candidate for Michigan governor was arrested and charged for his participation in the insurrection. Pennsylvania's Mastriano needs to be charged for supporting and participating in it. Same goes for Scott Perry, who asked Trump for a pardon, who was, on the facts, a co-conspirator supporting the coup attempt. I want to see the full list of Congress members who asked for pardons.

That is up to the DOJ -- not the Committee.

He's also a former prosecutor. There were two trials of an intelligence officer who flipped to Russia's side. Both efforts to convict him failed. The case came to Adam Schiff and he successfully prosecuted, and the sentence was 20 years in jail.

@carolcisko6768 The staff of the Committee consists of many former Federal prosecutors, both "Democrats" and "Republicans". Members of the Committee, such as Adam Schiff, are former prosecutors. Members of the Committee have said that there is no authority in law to make criminal referrals beyond those in defense of their subpoenas. They can, and Zoe Lofgren (who was involved in the "Watergate" investigation) said, that the evidence compiled by the Committee will be provided to the DOJ at the conclusion of their investigation (which is still continuing). And there are discussions between the Committee and DOJ; and the Committee has the evidentiary advantage so can point to evidence the DOJ could use but doesn't know exists. The MEDIA is trying to create a controversy that doesn't exist. And the Committee and DOJ have different purposes -- I don't know how many times this fact must be explained before those who are ignoring it cease ignoring it: The Congress investigates toward legislating -- MAKING LAWS. The DOJ investigates toward ENFORCING laws. That is the normal sequence: the "Watergate" hearings (and the ongoing parallel "Washington Post" revelations) resulted in the DOJ acting -- IN THAT ORDER. To EMPHASIZE: the MEDIA is attempting to gin up a controversy where there is NONE.

@luisestevez4854 That's your belief? And where does Trump put Latinos on his racist totem pole?

@craigwellar5265 The trial would be in Washington, D.C., not in a Red state.

@gregvetter5070 Rob them of their escape by continuing to put the facts in their faces.

@buzzfunk THAT is LEGAL PROCESS, IN COURT, not Congressional process.

@gregvetter5070 Silence is assent. Respond to them by putting the facts in their faces.

@sbyers6676 MAGAot Tears!

At re-election Nixon had a 68 per cent approval rate. When he resigned it was 16-19 per cent because of the hearings. The Republicans who view Trump as the head of the conspiracy will increase. Some, at present, don't dare answer the pollsters honestly.

@albertopalma1663 And TEN of his judges were among those who threw his fraudulent "election fraud" law suits out of court.

@singersa There are still many who are whining that the DOJ "isn't doing anything" -- despite having it explained to them, dozens of times by now, that that is FALSE.

@guitarista67 Then too many are playing dumb.

@traitorsamongus2417 They are and will. Without forgetting separation of powers.

Eastman has an opportunity: a plea deal in exchange for testifying against Trump.
