Break the word down: The prefix "in" means "not". "credible" means "can be believed". "incredible" means "not to be believed". In sum: the thoughtless misuse that word to mean something positive, like "amazing" "beyond belief" or "beyond words".

It does not become truth; it becomes believed.

@kalijasin And even then it remains a lie.

@amberleeannalee1999 It's called many things. Simply put it is believing a lie to be true, and ignoring all evidence showing it to be a lie.

@coltcorrea3075 There are excellent videos here on youtube by Timothy Snyder that directly deal with tyranny and how to counter it. Bottom line: stick to the facts.

@jimconaty6218 Trump knows he's lying. He once said that it's all an act, and that he's surprised no one has caught on. There are times he can't hide his sense of guilt for knowingly lying. What he is habituated to is pretending to himself that his lies are truth -- which he knows is a pretense -- by which means he is more "convincing" by being a liar who "believes" the lie. In fact he's a crude practitioner of the method.
