  2.  @vanessawhitneypro  Republicans have always been obsessed with their presidents being "strong leaders" -- elevating the Executive above the other two co-EQUAL branches. And Reagan set the sedition in motion with his assertion that the gov't "is the problem, not the solution". Per the Constitution "We the people" are the gov't. So, yeah: to Republicans "We the people" are the enemy.
