  1. It would be nice -- in fact, it would be RESPOSIBLE -- for those who want to eliminate the Electoral College would actually research the intent of it as stated by the Founders. No, it was not about preserving slavery. Neither was the Second Amendment about enforcing slavery. But why bother when those who don't know the Founders' intent know better without bothering to know at all.
