  1. Trump wasn't going to pay the firm that made the rigged poll ANYTHING. And the bonus to Cohen agreed to was cut by some two-thirds. So Cohen paid $20,000 of the $50,000 owed to the poll-rigger, and kept $30,000 for himself to make up for the cut in the agreed-to bonus. So Trump figured that the poll-rigger was dishonest, so would say nothing about being ripped off by him. At least they got $20,000.
