  1. The "Declaration of Independence" has never been law. It applied EXCLUSIVELY to England. Ad it does NOT include the word "overthrow". In fact, the authors of the "Declaration" "attacked" and "overthrew" ZERO gov'ts, because the govt's in question were all along under the control of those authors.

  2. As an Amendment to the Constitution, the 14th Amendment applies to the ENTIRE United States, not only to the states of the former Confederacy.
