  1. It's called "self-fulfilling prophecy". Salt the public with editorializing, speculation, hypotheticals in the guise of factual news, and some of the public will mistake the editorializing, etc., as factual news. It is about media literacy -- and media illiteracy promulgated by the media. And much so-called "independent" media does the same thing.
