The PROBLEM was that the political Left of folk music thought they OWNED him. Pete Seeger in particular because he stopped writing and singing protest songs. That evening he was the star -- but was only allowed fifteen minutes. He busted their chains, and the song "Maggie's Farm" was his kiss-off to them.
