@georgea5991 It is a constitutional guarantee. At trial a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until the jury finds guilt proven by the prosecution based on the evidence and law. Failing that the defendant remains innocent. In other words, the jury doesn't find the defendant guilty; it determines whether the prosecution proved guilt.

@LucysMom1 I hear "LOCK HIM/HER UP! from BOTH sides. If those are equivalent, then thhe Left means the same as the Right: without evidence, charges, trial, or conviction. Without due process. THAT is CORRUPTION. Calling for MORE corruption as a protest "against" corruption is mindless idiocy. Want the rule of law? Then adhere to it, and promote it.

@izmac9146 Part of the problem is "turtleboy" -- who is charged with intimidating witnesses. He's a blogger with a grudge -- not a journalist, not an investigator -- who has been making all sorts of allegations, stirring up the "Murder as Entertianment" crowd -- many are also Trump "fans" -- and causing "controversy" based on no evidence. He "supports" Read -- but he has made things more difficult for her and her defense team. The "Boston Globe" has reported on the case -- including a sequence of emails/texts among the parties, including Read. What a bunch of high school-level drunks!

Canton and Stoughton are two different towns, two different police departments. The cops who abused her were Stoughton Police, Birchmore lived in Canton.

"Physical encounters" = SEX. The fuller story, based on the evidence, is that the three cops passed her around. And one of the cops visited her just before she "died" -- there is video of him arriving and leaving. But there was apparently no DNA testing of the fetus, which seems odd.
