  1. The problem is that Republicans themselves BEGAN that "debate" method of being against, and against, and against, but never for anything. The name-calling of Republicans didn't begin with Trump. So much of the "I'm a life-long Republican" "base" are trained to falsely believe that trash-talking is actually "debate". That's why the total lack of basic manners. They are practicing and defending what they call "politically incorrect" -- which means, being openly racist, and having no manners, no decency. They consider being "sociable" to be the equivalent of "Socialist". Sure, it's all the ultimate in degeneracy, in stupdidity, but they'll do anything to "win" even if it destorys the country and their own bank accounts.

  2. A good lawyer never asks a question to which he doesn't know the answer. A better tact is not to make allegations but to ask Trump direct questions based on what he asserts. On his ignoring the facts from two scientis, ask, "Are YOU a scientist?" Lilely he'd say, "No, but I have a great brain," or the like. Follow up -- and stick to this: "I didn't ask about your brain; I asked if you're a scientist." Stop at the end of the question and wait for his answer -- silence when an asshole who never shuts up is louder than the asshole's bombast. Another question of Trump, slid in just after he sniffs -- of which "tick" he's largely unconscious: "Why are you sniffing?" Wait to see his response -- he would likely be silence for a moment. Then: "Perhaps you should undergo a drug test before the next debate."

The Republicans in the Senate who were behind that attack on Hunter Biden, based on hogwash cobbled together by Giuliani in conspiracy with a Russian spy, discovered that they wre taken for a ride, and issued a report with that conclusion. Via foreign powers, Nixon worked to subvert the Vietnam Peace Talks which President Johnson was attempting to pursue. He called it treeason. Reagan colluded with Iran in order to steal the 1980 election. Trump colluded and conspired with Russia to steal the 2016 election. And now the Republicans -- doubtless at being embarrassed and panicked that their decades of racist hate-politics has blown up in their faces -- want to pretend that Trump is at odds with the party's history.
