It isn't a spending problem -- the system as established is taxpayers paying their own way through gov't that is intended to meet the needs of "We the people" -- the taxpayers. It is a cutting taxes for those who don't need them, and they being deadbeats who benefit from the taxes paid by others. And in order to defend the unjust tax cuts "spending" is attacked. So what if cutting spending means children don't get enough to eat; all that matters is that the billionaires don't pay their way.
