Right: it isn't about "this one gun". It's about ALL guns. Guns don't kill people, bullets kill people. And one fact is common to all guns: they shoot bullets.

And they don't care. It's all about CONTROL, backed by ARMED THREAT. The message is: SHUT UP AND TAKE WHAT WE DO TO YOU WITHOUT COMPLAINT, OR WE WILL ESCALATE THE CONTROL.

@jessestreet2549 When I aw the image of those wonderful kids protesting at the capitol, it looked exactly like January 6th at the US Capitol -- EXCEPT that the kids were peaceful, and carrying sings DEMANING GUN CONTROL.

@ethancale471 The AR was designed for COMBAT in VIETNAM -- which I guess wan't a "war" because the gov't chose to call it instead a "police action". Yes: the AR is a weapon of war, and was DESIGNED to be a weapon of war. It is an ASSAULT weapon -- which is the OPPOSITE of "self-defense". What the current Army -- the military generally uses today is IRRELEVANT to the fact that the AR was SPECIFCIALLY DESIGNED TO BE USED IN WARFARE.

@jessestreet2549 And when you engage in "defense" against these Republicans they claim it is a THREAT -- INSURRECTION is the word they ACTUALLY used -- and, as the majority, use the power of the state against you, as we saw done. So your concern with being "clever" is an ego-game you are playing on yourself. The ONLY defense is radical pacifism -- which doesn't always work -- WITH PLENTY OF MEDIA COVERAGE so outsiders see for themselves the reality.

@jessestreet2549 If you had any knowledge at all of the civil rights movement of the 1950-60s you'd know that "defending" "invites" offensive violence -- unless the "defending" is entirely nonviolent. And that isn't always a guarantee. California Governor Reagan was opposed to gun control -- until the Black Panthers armed themselves with GUNS in order to "DEFEND" themselves. Then Reagan couldn't sign gun control legislation fast enough. The Constitution is against you: in Art, I., S. 8., C. 15.; in Art. IV., S. 4. In the First Amendment, which protects PEACEABLE assembly. Because VIOLENT assembly is PROHIBITED. As was learned from the 1950s-1960s civil rights movement, "Defending" "invites" OFFENSIVE violence. And absolute nonviolent resistance is not always a guarantee of a civil response. Those who have the power will use it to retain power. The first thing one does is NOT make oneself a target for violence by ONE'S OWN actions. CLUE: there is no "right" to "take up arms" against the gov't, gov't being by definition rule of law. See the cited Art. I., S. 8., C. 15.

@ralphgazda6735 Those Republicans continue to increase the gun violence as warning: challenge our CONTROLLINGS of you and we will ESCALATE our controllings. January 6th was a violent insurrection that actually happened. That's what these Republicans are THREATENING to impose on those who challenge their CONTROL.
