  1. It is an attempt to intimidate jurors; but more than that it is preliminary rejection of the jury's verdict. He knows he's guilty, and that the evidence is overwhelming, so he's smearing the jury in effort to discredit its verdict in advance. And his fact-avoidant law-rejecting supporters will try to find ways to act on his call.
