It isn't rocket science: US intelligence routinely monitors Russians and their activities vis-a-vis the US. When Michael Flynn called and spoke with the Russian ambassador, he "wandered" into the ongoing monitoring of the Russian ambassador. Though they LIED about it, Mueller documented more than 200 hundred contacts between the Trump campaign and Russia. They intelligence community was monitoring the RUSSIANS; had the Trump campaign not "wandered" into that ongoing monitoring there wouldn't have been evidence and reports of those contacts. What that means is really, really, really simple: there was no spying on the Trump campaign; the "spying" was on Russians -- who the Trump campaign was contacting. Durham's job was to discredit the investigation that discovered those contacts between the Trump campaign and Russians by "investigating" the investigation of those contacts. He never had a case, as those who know law knew all along. But he had to try to show SOMETHING where there was NOTHING in effort to justify his "investigation". In effort to SAVE FACE.

And the IRS pointed to the fact that being audited is not a bar to releasing one's taxes. In contrast, the day Hillary Clinton announced her candidacy she released 30 years of tax returns. And then Trump went all the way to the Supreme Court, and more than once, in effort to prevent his tax returns being turned over to prosecutors. Ask yourself: what is Trump hiding.
